Spoiler Free Quick Review: You Sexy Thing by Cat Rambo
I pre-ordered this book (in ebook form) as soon as it was available for pre-order. I’ve taken several online classes of Cat’s (and am a member of her Patreon) so had the pleasure of hearing about this book when it was still being worked on, and was excited about it from the first teaser/description Cat gave us during one of her classes. It was my good luck that the book was far enough along that I didn’t have to wait too long for it to be released. The day of release, I was too impatient to finish my day to actually read it, so I ended up buying the audiobook as well so I could listen to it straight away. (If I had known the audiobook was coming out at the same time, I likely would have jumped on pre-ordering that version instead, but I’m a fan of supporting authors I like, so I don’t mind having bought it twice.) The narrator of the audiobook did an excellent job, and was a pleasure to listen to. She kept the voices interesting to listen to and easy to differentiate.
This book was an exciting adventure, a tale of a found family and what that means as time goes on, and what it means to never give up. This book was full of diverse characters to love and to hate, mystery and adventure, and an ending that was both satisfying but welcoming for the sequels to come.
